Hayley Orrantia, an American actress, singer and song writer. Many people recognize her by the title of Erica Goldberg, from the television comedy 'The Goldbergs. But, she is to be primarily an artist. Music is her first love, she maintains; it is something she has dabbled at when she was 9 years old. At the age 12, she took the music seriously enough that she began training professionally. In 2013, she took the plunge into songwriting and made her first album. There hasn't been a turning around ever since. Orrantia was born in the USA but holds Hispanic heritage. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and never lived in Mexico she's very proud of her Hispanic heritage. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and composing songs, she tries to preserve the tradition. One of her efforts was an original Spanish song called 'Hasta Verte.' Orrantia was selected to audition for The X Factor's first season, which aired in summer 2011. Orrantia was the winner of the initial season of The X-Factor when she uploaded an YouTube performance video. The judge gave her the four "yes" votes from the judge during the live stage in Seattle. Originally auditioning as a soloist, she and three female singers were put together for the remaining auditions in "Hollywood Week". They were eventually eliminated at the final show.
